Paige Edwards is a one-of-a-kind in her new position at Renue Salon, Spa and Fashion Boutique, 1419 Main, Great Bend.

Her official title is “esthetician,” which means Edwards is a skin-care professional.

“I offer facials, waxing and body treatments,” Edwards said. “Skin care is so important and many people are unaware there are products and treatments that can help them.

“For example, some have sun damage, dryness, acne or dark circles,” she continued. “They can come in for a free consultation to determine which specific products and/or services could relieve some of their concerns.”

Edwards was licensed in California before moving to Great Bend about a year ago. Now she has a Kansas license through the Kansas Board of Cosmetology.

She previously worked at another local salon, “but for a long time I had wanted to come to Renue. This is a beautiful, full-service facility.”

While in Valley Springs, Calif., Edwards owned her own spa business for three years. She grew up in Tracy, Calif.

“I am very happy to be in Great Bend and working at Renue,” she commented. “Everyone at the salon and in the community has been super nice and welcoming.”

Paige and her husband, Skyler Edwards, a Great Bend firefighter, have two children, Chase, 4, and Payton, 1.

Susan Williams, salon and retail coordinator, said “we are excited to have Paige on board. She is helping us achieve our goal of being Barton County’s premier salon and spa, while enjoying the opportunity to grow her business.

“In addition, now we offer more local options so that clients can have these special services without traveling to another town,” Williams said.

Renue, 1419 Main, offers all hair-care treatments; face creams; lotions; facials, waxing and other skin-care treatments; manicures and pedicures; nail polishes; body wraps; hot-stone and deep-tissue massages; two tanning beds; infrared sauna; and event room.

The boutique offers clothing for women of all ages.
