ELLINWOOD — What a fun summer it has been at the Ellinwood School/Community Library! We want to take a moment to recognize and congratulate our summer library program winners and, most importantly, thank everyone who participated and supported the library throughout the summer.
Our youngest winner was Ruger Smith, who won a dinosaur backpack filled with some additional fun items. We hope Ruger enjoys his new backpack and all the adventures that come with it!
Our teen and adult winners were Eva Spare and Theresa Younker, who each received an Ellinwood Chamber Gift Certificate. Congratulations to all of our winners!
This summer brought some changes for the library as we temporarily moved to the Ellinwood Grade School while renovations took place at our regular location. We are incredibly grateful to our community of readers for continuing to visit, participate and support the library despite the change in location. Your involvement helped make this summer a success!
As a reminder, we are now back at our regular location in the Ellinwood Middle/High School Library. We are happy to be back in our familiar space and look forward to continuing to serve our community.
The school year is officially underway, and we are excited for all that the new year will bring! Looking ahead to September, the library will be hosting the Ellinwood Chamber Coffee on Friday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. We are especially excited to showcase our new staff and introduce them to our community.
Between our schools, there are nine new staff members joining the team; two from USD 428 who provide specialized support for our youth, along with seven new staff members from USD 355.
It truly takes a village to support our children, schools and community, and we are excited to welcome these new faces and get the year off to a great start!
Thank you, Ellinwood and surrounding communities, for continuing to support our library. We look forward to seeing you soon!
