Adam Watkins and his wife Caitlyn Watkins were recently honored by Major General Scott Miller, the commander of the Maneuver Center of Excellence, Fort Benning, Ga. General Miller promoted Adam from the rank of Sergeant to Staff Sergeant and also officiated a swearing-in ceremony on Adam for an additional four years of service. Caitlyn was presented a Certificate of Appreciation.
Staff Sergeant Watkins is a Combat Veteran of Afghanistan and has served in the United States Army as an Airborne Infantryman for six years and is also a graduate of the prestigious United States Army Ranger School. Adam will soon be transferring to Fort Bragg, N.C. to be part of the 82nd Airborne Division.
Adam is the son of Lynn Watkins of Wichita and Nancy Steadman Watkins of Derby. He is the grandson of Bill and Wilma Steadman of Great Bend.
