Barton County 4H Air Rifle Marksman compete at Ellis County Shoot

On Saturday, members of the Barton County 4H Air Rifle program traveled to Hays to compete in the Ellis County Open Invitational Match.
In the air rifle competition, there were 55 shooters from all over western Kansas, including the Barton county shooters. They were all trying to score the highest out of a possible 600 points in their age divisions.
In the 8 to 10 year old division, Dalton Dicks from Great Bend placed first with a score of 357 and Will Clark from Great Bend placed third with a score of 302.
In the 11 and 12 year old division, Katelyn Reh from Ellinwood placed first with a score of 453 and Parker Smith from Great Bend placed seventh with a score of 410.
In the 13 and 14 year old division, Lake Lyman from Ellinwood placed third with a score of 448 and Caleb Straub from Great Bend placed eighth with a score of 311.
In the 15 year old age group, Thomas Thill from Great Bend placed seventh with a score of 415.
In the 16 to 18 year old division, Jake Kohman Great Bend placed second with a score of 469.
The Barton county team, made up of Jake Kohman, Katelyn Reh, Lake Lyman and Thomas Thill, placed third.
A group of Barton county 4H marksman will travel to Larned on March 17 to compete in the Pawnee County 4H Shootout.
