Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about the person who shot at a Kansas Highway Patrol officer in his patrol car last month. At 12:56 a.m. on July 28, the trooper was driving east in the 1400 block of 10th St. in Great Bend when he heard a gunshot and the rear window glass shattered.
The trooper was not injured, Police Chief Deaning Akings said. “The offense is serious – attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 792-1300 or 888-305-1300.
