A Great Bend man said he swerved into a ditch to avoid a collision around 5:40 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of West Barton County Road. The vehicle was not damaged but the driver reported he may have hurt his back.
Tyler Swank, 28, was driving an eastbound 1990 Ford Bronco. He told a deputy from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office that he drove into the south ditch when another vehicle came into his lane.
Great Bend Emergency Medical Service also responded but Swank refused treatment at the scene.
