STAFFORD COUNTY — Several people were taken to the hospital on Saturday, after a pickup pulled in front of a van at U.S. 50 and SE 70th Ave. in Stafford County.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection, 1 mile west of Stafford.
The 2001 pickup driven by Olive O. Julian, 88, of Stafford, was northbound on SE 70th Ave. when it pulled in front of a 2015 Kia van, which collided with the passenger side of the pickup.
Julian was not injured.
Van driver Ashley L. Alvarez, 31, of Newton, was taken to Stafford County Hospital with possible injury. An adult male passenger, a 14-year-old male, a 13-year-old male and a 9-year-old girl in the van were also taken to the hospital with possible injuries.
Everyone involved was wearing a safety restraint.
