Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters responded to five Emergency Medical Service calls Wednesday, Nov. 22, three Thursday, five Friday, four Saturday and four Sunday. They were also on standby Sunday at the KSN TV tower. (See story on page 1.)
There was a fire call at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday at 403 Buckeye St. and one at 7:24 a.m. Thursday at 1208 Morphy St. They also had a call at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday to check a smoke smell at 1317 Harding St. but found nothing.
Firefighters responded to a grass fire at 2:43 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Firethorn Street.

Barton County Sheriff
A burglary was reported Wednesday at 2701 Gano St., Great Bend.
A non-injury crash was reported at 9:07 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of North U.S. 281.
A non-injury crash was reported at 11:26 p.m. at K-4 and U.S. 281. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
A vehicle hit a deer at 5:17 a.m. Friday on West U.S. 56 near Pawnee Rock.
A non-injury crash was reported at 7:34 a.m. at SE 20 Road and SE 90 Ave., Ellinwood.
An injury crash reported at 1:44 p.m. in the Hoisington area was not an actual traffic crash; a subject fall off a bicycle and did suffer injury.
Criminal damage to property was reported at 163 SW 80 Ave., Great Bend.
A suspect was arrested at 1:42 a.m. Saturday at 10th and Adams, Great Bend, for possession of meth and other charges.
A fire was reported at 3:19 p.m. at 94 SE 140 Ave., Ellinwood.
A non-injury crash was reported at 9:35 p.m. on West K-4 and NW 120 Ave., Olmitz. KHP responded.
Theft of a motor vehicle was reported at 2:44 a.m. Sunday at NE 20 Ave. and 3rd Road, Barton County. The vehicle was recovered before 4 a.m.
Property was found Sunday morning on U.S. 281 and SE 20 Road.

Great Bend Police
A traffic arrest was made at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Main when a man was allegedly driving on the sidewalk.
A burglary at 426 C. St. was reported, with theft from the building.
A non-injury crash was reported at 12:54 p.m. at Broadway and Williams.
A case was taken for another county after a dog bite victim came to Great Bend Regional Hospital Wednesday afternoon.
An arrest was made during a traffic stop at 2:20 a.m. Thursday in the 2500 block of Main Street.
A cell phone was found in the 800 block of Madison Street.
Theft of candy bars was reported at Family Dollar in the 1000 block of 10th St.
A non-injury crash was reported at 5:37 p.m. in the 2500 block of 8th St.
A bicycle was found Friday morning in the 2500 block of Lakin Ave. and booked into evidence.
A propane tank was reportedly stolen from 8th and Morphy.
A non-injury crash was reported at 10:37 a.m. Friday when Julio Sanchez, Great Bend, allegedly damaged a vehicle. Sanchez was booked into jail on a stalking charge and released after posting a $1,000 surety bond.
A battery case was reported at 5:08 p.m. in the 2500 block of 11th St.
Two vehicles collided at 5:45 p.m. at 4th and Almond.
A burglary was reported in the 2700 block of 12th St.
The K-9 unit was dispatched to 10th and Adams at 2 a.m. Saturday.
A burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Harding Street.
Theft of fuel was reported at Casey’s General Store in the 2700 block of 10th St.
A non-injury crash was reported at 3:31 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of McKinny Drive.
