Rep. Ron Estes officially enters 2024 race on anniversary of Lincoln’s birthday

TOPEKA – Monday, on the anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, U.S. Rep. Ron Estes filed for re-election to serve Kansas’ 4th Congressional District with the Kansas Secretary of State’s office in Topeka. Estes was first elected to Congress in an April 2017 special election. He won re-election in 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Rep. Estes chose to file on the anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday. “President Lincoln, revered as one of the greatest presidents, led our country through some of her darkest days and, like so many valiant Americans throughout our history, gave his last full measure of devotion in service to the United States of America. More than a century after the end of the Civil War, our world is much different, but we face daunting divisions that are tearing our country apart. While the word unity is often flung about to mask the user’s true intention of pulling opponents to their side, it would behoove us as a nation to look to Lincoln’s allegiance to this country, love for his fellow man, compassion for those who disagreed with him and devotion to God as a guide for restoring our nation and healing our land,” said Estes.

Having served in the House since 2017, Rep. Estes remains committed to the people of the 4th District and has a strong track record of assisting Kansans through robust constituent services. Rep. Estes is honored to serve the people of the 4th District in our nation’s capital and works hard every day on behalf of his fellow Kansans with the same strong work ethic he learned on his family’s farm.
