Warrants were issued on Thursday for two suspects that were allegedly involved in a shooting that took place on May 25.
According to the Great Bend Police Department, at approximately 9:55 p.m. on May 25 Barton County 911 dispatched officers to the area of 3900 Forest on reports of shots being fired.
Upon arrival, officers found 35-year-old Phillip Pardo suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Officers determined Pardo had been shot during an altercation in the complex parking lot. However, the shooter had fled the scene before the officers arrived.
Pardo was treated on scene by Great Bend EMS and transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital and later transferred to a Wichita Hospital for treatment and later released.
After a lengthy investigation by the Great Bend Police Detective Division assisted by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the case was forwarded to the Barton County Attorney’s office for review and a charging decision on Thursday, May 26.
On Thursday, warrants were issued for the following suspects:
Alejandro Azteca, Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes, 220 pounds and 5 foot 8 inches He is charged with two counts attempted second degree murder, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.
The second suspect is identified as Pablo Alfonso Nunez, Hispanic male with Black hair and brown eyes, 120 pounds and 5 foot 1 inch. He is charged with battery, burglary of a motor vehicle, theft and criminal damage to property.
Suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous and should only be approached by Law-Enforcement.
