Four live bands will perform at the End Of School Year Bash, Friday evening at CrossPoint Church, 2100 Broadway Ave.

The Youth Workers Alliance of Great Bend, a group made up of local youth pastors and senior pastors from several churches in the community, is hosting the event. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. and all ages are invited. Cost is $5 at the door, with children 10 years old and younger admitted free.

The evening music will range from hip-hop, southern rock, and hard rock, to indie rock, said Randy Mills, youth pastor at CrossPoint Church. The featured bands are Brian Brillhart, Jamison, local band Echelon, and Wichita pop/rock band The Lost Colors.

Andy Addis, the guest speaker for the evening, is a Great Bend native who grew up and graduated from Great Bend High School.

Concessions will be available, with proceeds used to help support the YWA.

"The YWA is working together to bring positive events to this area," Mills said. "Any church within our community is welcome to join the YWA and help plan and administrate several new events."
