Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made eight ambulance runs on Friday, eight on Saturday and five on Sunday. There was two fire calls on Saturday.
At 9:06 p.m. units responded to a 463 SW 60 Ave. for two couches that had been discarded and set on fire and at 10:01 p.m. units responded to 2103 Monroe for an automatic alarm.
Upon arrival found that the occupant had accidentally burned a roast and that is activated the fire alarm system. She was able to cancel the alarm, and we assisted her in removing smoke from the residence by opening doors and windows.
