JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Melissa G. Clark, 50, of Jefferson City, Mo., formerly of Hoisington, passed away Easter Sunday, April 24, at the Pin Oak Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, Mo. Born Sept. 20, 1960, in Hoisington, she was the daughter of William "Bill" and Wilma (Willson) Meljo. A 1978 graduate of Hoisington High School, she received her Registered Nurse degree from Barton Community College in Great Bend. She was employed at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City, Mo., as a pediatric nurse.

Melissa attended the Pin Oak Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, sewing and trips to the casino. She was also a foster parent and did mission work overseas as a nurse.

Survivors include her mother; twin sons, Larry Clark of Concordia, and William and his wife Jennifer Clark of Hoisington, presently stationed with the Army in Killeen, Texas; two daughters, Amanda Clark of Longview, Wash. and Andrea Clark of Hoisington; a sister, Melinda Meljo of Springfield, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Hoisington. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Austin Spencer "Ash" Hamilton Foundation, for organ donor awareness, 13290 North Meridian Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Chapel, Linn, Mo. (897-2214).
