Teresa Frenzl Wondra 1919 - 2011

ST. JOHN — Teresa Frenzl Wondra, 91, died May 14, at Stafford County Hospital. Born July 30, 1919 at Odin, she was the daughter of Hugo and Matilda Frenzl Hoeffner. She was a homemaker and a 25-year employee of USD 350 St. John – Hudson Schools, working in the kitchen. On May 15, 1946, she married Edward A. Wondra. He died Aug. 14, 2000.

Survivors include seven sons, Denis Wondra and his wife Nancy, Harold Wondra and his wife Sharon, Vernon Wondra and his wife Nancy, and Eugene Wondra all of Great Bend, Kenny Wondra and his wife Carol of Enterprise, James Wondra of Pratt and Richard Wondra of St. John; three daughters, Judy Griffith and her husband Larry of Nickerson, Diane Staub and her husband Lonnie of St. John and Marilyn Grizzell and her husband Todd of Macksville; three brothers, Leo Frenzl of Odin, Larry Frenzl of Hays and William Frenzl of Great Bend; three sisters, Viola Meyeres of Odin, Gertrude Hickel of Claflin and Dorothy Reif of Beaver; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers; and one sister.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in St. John with Father Floyd McKinney presiding. Burial will be at the Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. today at Minnis Chapel in St. John. Rosary Vigil will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel. Memorials may be sent to St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
