CLAFLIN —Terry Zink, 64, died Aug. 1 at his home in Claflin. He was born March 7, 1950 at Great Bend, the son of Austin Zink and Leo and Marilyn (Breford) Kaiser.
Terry married Donella Sheridan Oct. 18, 1969 at Bushton, KS.  She survives. Being raised in the Claflin and Bushton areas, Terry was a McPherson resident since July, 1999, then returned home to Claflin in May, 2014.
He was a building manager for the Graham Group Co. for 17 years, and for Salina Regional Medical Center for 3 years.  Terry attended Holy Name Catholic Church of Bushton and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5222 of McPherson. He was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors and had a deep appreciation for history.  He also loved athletics with a special emphasis on his grandchildren and the Central Plains Oilers.
He is survived by his wife: Donella Zink, of the home; one son: Tony Zink and wife Tiffany of Claflin; one daughter: Tammie Steiner and husband Chris of Claflin; mother: Marilyn Kaiser of Claflin; two sisters: Mary Pryor and husband Bob of Great Bend,  and Angie Clutter of Hoisington; one brother: Jon Kaiser and wife Ruth of Ellinwood; and
grandchildren:  Colton Zink, Callie Zink, Bryce Steiner, Kaycee Steiner, Mollie Jo Steiner, and one expected next February.  He was preceded in passing by his fathers, Austin Zink and Leo Kaiser, and his brother-in-law, Don Clutter.
The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church in Bushton with Father Robert Spencer officiating. Interment will be at Holy Name Cemetery, Bushton. The Rosary Service will be Tuesday, at 7 p.m. at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Oiler’s O Club or Kans for Kids or Claflin EMS, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
