cHOISINGTON 61, SW HEIGHTS 37 — Hoisington's boys tuned up for  showdown with No. 2 ranked 3A Lakin with a dominating 61-37 road victory at Southwestern Heights Friday. The Cardinals' rugged Central Kansas League schedule prepared the Cardinals for the road venue.

Hoisington's red-hot Mason Martin converted five 3-pointers and scored 20 points with three steals. Brier Thompson added 12 points and Mamden Tarlton eight points and eight rebounds. Rhen Galla dished out three assists. 

The Cardinals (12-9) will challenge Lakin (20-1) in the March 5 semifinal at Lakin.
