Central Kansas Quilt Guild met on June 26 at the Heartland Community Church. Pat Knoechel, quilt specialist, presented the program, featuring her sister’s latest book: “Forty Fabulous Years with Eleanor Burns.” The program included humorous family stories and quilts that are featured in her book. She also brought many quilts to show and demonstrated the techniques that were used.
Over 125 people attended the program which was followed by refreshments and the opportunity to purchase Quilt In A Day specialty templates.
The Central Kansas Quilt Guild meets at 1 p.m. the third Friday of each month at Heartland Community Church, 4907 10th Street. Guests are welcome and may visit two meetings; then, if interested, they may join the guild. Each month members have an opportunity to learn new quilting techniques, work on community projects or work on unfinished projects. Call the Central Kansas Thread Benders President Pam Sweeney, 620-617-0205, for more information.
