Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! Be sure to check out our weekly Genealogy Thursday at 11 a.m. and Read to Luna at 4 p.m. If you’re feeling crafty, come make a Yarn Heart at this month’s Adult Craft at 6 p.m. After that, join us at 7 p.m. this evening, Feb. 8, at Dry Lake Brewery for our Rom-Com Trivia Night. Register ahead of time on our website or arrive before trivia starts to sign up in person. We will have fun prizes and free beer for the winners! Even if you’re not a huge rom-com fan, you’ll still have lots of fun and you might learn something new, so grab some friends and come out for what is sure to be a fun evening at Dry Lake.
Are you curious about D&D? All spots have been filled for our Tabletop Teens Mini D&D Adventure this semester, but teens in grades 6-12 can still come hang out to be part of the audience and see what this popular game is all about! The first session starts this Friday at 3:45 p.m. and runs after-hours until 7 p.m.
Next Monday we’re kicking off the week with Movie Mondays for the teens at 4 p.m. Come enjoy popcorn and the recent film featuring a popular female icon and her misadventures in the “real world.”
Bring the kiddos by for our regular Tuesday Story Time at 10:30 a.m. This week we’ll be focusing on love and kindness with stories, songs, and other activities to keep little learners engaged.
Finally, next Thursday, Feb. 15, we’ll have our February Teen Manga & Anime Club meeting. Join us from 5:30-7:45 p.m. as we watch and discuss “Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun” and make our own tasty chocolates! Afterwards, pick up a copy of next month’s title, “Blue Lock.”
