The Bach Scholarship Foundation announced the 2023 Bach Scholarships.

The recipients are: Madeline McMurphy, the daughter of Dan Collins and Sarah Collins; Ethan Lemuz, the son of Nathan Lemuz and Christy Lemuz; Jarett Seeman, the son of Dale Seeman and Audra Seeman; and Cagney Lemuz, the daughter of Jason and Rebecca Lemuz.

The alternates in order of their ranking are Alexandra Zook-Cochran and Eian Sanders.

These scholarships were awarded following recommendations from the members of the Bach Scholarship Foundation who reviewed the applications from Pawnee County students graduating this spring from the two Pawnee County high schools, as well as any applicants from 2022 recipients, who may apply for a second year. Following the wishes of Roy Peter Bach and the guidelines as set forth in the application, the applicants must be accepted into an accredited four-year university, two-year junior college, vocational college or vocational training program. Preference will be given to vocational fields of study, including agricultural, automotive and diesel mechanics, electrical, health fields, etc. Scholarships are renewable for the second additional year, if recipient reapplies and is selected a second time.
