Great Bend woman injured in crash

Ambulances arrive at the scene of a two-vehicle crash, Monday afternoon.

An injury crash was reported at 3:02 p.m. Monday at U.S. 281 and NW 90 Road, Hoisington. Officers were on-scene until 4:07 p.m.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports a 2008 Lincoln Town Car driven by Valerie Romine, 58, Great Bend, and a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Donald Rhin from Bloomer, Wis., were both southbound on U.S. 281 approaching NW 90 Road. Rihn was making a left turn as Romine attempted to pass. The Town Car struck the truck in the driver side between the front door and the rear wheel. Romine was transported to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington by Hoisington EMS with unknown injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
