Live entertainment will return to the Barton County Arts Center, with the folk rock group Traveling Broke & Out of Gas performing at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. Seats are $10 at the door.
Traveling Broke and Out of Gas is a five-member, genre defying group of musicians.
Originally formed in 2006 as a husband and wife duo playing for strangers on street corners, in coffee shops, and around campfires across the country, the group nowhas put down roots in Lafayette, Ind.
Their music has been described as “ever changing and endlessly surprising.”
“Led by the sultry vocals of Rachael Yanni and the cerebral songwriting of Cody Hall, these musical pioneers have created a sound that will make any music lover stop in their tracks. Davide Marzoli and Maxx Headcote, plus whoever joins them for the evening, complete the ensemble. Incorporating a variety of instrumentation, including guitars, upright bass, fiddles, washboard, ukuleles, mandolin, banjo, synth, a makeshift travel ready drum kit, pots, pans, hoots and hollers, they will provide a memorable evening of entertainment.”
They have three full-length albums out and a national tour under their belts, featuring dozens of original songs. They can be found on the Internet at  http://www.travelingbroke.com/fr_home.cfm or on Reverb Nation at http://www.reverbnation.com/travelingbrokeandoutofgas.
