Great Bend, KS 67530

Heartland Farm, a ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, recently established a non-endowed fund within Golden Belt Community Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to provide another avenue for individuals, families, and businesses to support the farm’s many programs and operations.
The 80-acre homestead, located about 14 miles west of Great Bend, relies on volunteers who are committed to exploring and living the principles of community, simple living, nonviolence, justice and peace, and the nurturing of all God’s creation. They serve frequent guests by offering programs like Contemplative Photography and Creative Writing, Creative Repurposing, Winter Peace Retreat Package, Pottery Studio, as well as other Retreat Weekend Packages.
Anyone may contribute to the fund for Heartland Farm as gifts are accepted in any amount.  The Golden Belt Community Foundation accepts gifts in the form of cash, stock, real estate, and can assist individuals with leaving a gift through their will or trust.  All donations are tax-deductible.
For questions, please contact Sister Jane Belanger at (620) 923-4585.  More information on Heartland Farm can be found at www.heartlandfarm-ks.org or on their Facebook page.
