SPRING HILL — Deena Kay Erb, 55, passed away July 27, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 12, 1959, in Nevada, Mo. to Elton Eugene and Helen Nadine (Spencer) Anders. She grew up in Walker, Mo. and attended Walker High School then went on to receive her LPN license from Fort Scott Community College. On Feb. 10, 1979, she married Paul Gerard Erb in Nevada, Mo. They lived in Albert, then they moved to Bucklin, for 15 years and then to Spring Hill in 2009. She was an LPN for 35 years, working for Olathe Family Practice, Dodge City Medical Center and Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend. She was an avid KU and Royals fan and enjoyed gardening.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed.    
On Aug. 1, 1983, she converted to Catholicism and was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish in Gardner.    
Survivors include her husband, of the home; children, Preston (Kim) Erb of Pitt Meadows, B.C. Canada, Kenton (Julie) Erb of Silver Lake, Danae (William) Hull of Overland Park, and Kelsey (Curtis) Grote of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Carley, Brandon, Claire, Carson, Ella, Easton, Hannah and Allison; siblings, Kenny Anders of Nevada, Mo. and Carol Prough of Shell City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Cooper; and sister, Kathy Anders.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 555 W. Main St., Gardner. Burial will follow at St. Columbine Catholic Cemetery in Edgerton. Rosary will be at 5 p.m. with a visitation from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Divine Mercy Building Fund.
