GARFIELD — Leroy T. Hickman, 82, died Nov. 24 at Larned Healthcare Center, Larned. He was born Jan. 12, 1929, at Henderson, Ark., the son of Olin and Sarah Wood Hickman. On Dec. 8, 1951, he married Maxine M. Lackey at Mountain Home, Ark. She survives. A longtime resident of Garfield, he was a mechanic and Garfield City Maintenance.
He attended United Methodist Church, Garfield. He loved his family, hunting, fishing and playing with the Country Knights Band.
Other survivors include two sons, Kenny and wife Lisa, and Gerald and wife Gina, both of Garfield; two sisters, Fannie Seaman, Hanford, Calif., and Jean Bean, Bakersfield, Mo., 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, 3 sisters and one daughter-in-law.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morell Funeral Home, with Bob Cline presiding. Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery, Garfield. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be sent to Garfield Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
