The prestigious P.E.O. STAR scholarship for the 2014-15 academic year was presented to Annie Schugart, of Overland Park, a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Annie was sponsored by the Great Bend P.E.O. Chapter HR and was presented the certificate by Debbie Koelsch. Annie is the daughter of Jeff and Mary Schugart and the granddaughter of Larry and Kathy Schugart. She plans to attend Harvard in the fall and study English and Astrophysics. The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship is a $2,500 award based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success. This program is open to young women in the United States or Canada and a student must be recommended by a P.E.O. chapter.
