A second person involved in a fatal two-vehicle collision Friday evening has died, according to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the pickup, Phillip Manka, 75, of Pawnee Rock, passed away Monday at Via Christi Medical Center in Wichita.
The crash was reported at 8:30 p.m. Friday. A car driven by Wesley Barlow, 55, of Great Bend, and a pickup driven by Manka had collided head-on just east of the entrance to the Expo grounds on West Barton County Road.
David Manka, 48, of Pawnee Rock, a passenger in the pickup, died at the scene. Wesley Barlow is still in critical condition and Michael Manka is in good condition as of Tuesday Morning, according to a Via Christi spokesman.
The Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation.
Driver of pickup in fatal crash passes away
