Two search warrants that were conducted by the Hoisington Police Department less than a week from one another turned up drugs and stolen property.
According to the HPD, the first warrant was executed on July 7, in the 100 block of East 6th Street. In addition to narcotics, a number of stolen items were recovered.
Howard Johnson was arrested on a Barton County warrant for battery and later booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Grace Fox, who was also living at the residence, was located near Great Bend and was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The recovered property was linked to several previously unsolved cases in both Hoisington and Great Bend.
The second warrant was executed on July 13 in the 200 block of South Vine Street. During the search methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Jaynie Brazda was arrested with additional arrests expected in the near future.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Johnson remains in custody at the Barton County Jail. Fox was released on July 8 after posting bail and Brazda was released July 13 after posting bail.
