Aug. 2 service calls

A male was allegedly forging stolen checks in Great Bend.

An individual reported that around $3,000 cash was stolen from his wallet at an unknown time.

Four horses were out on SE 80 Ave. and SE 20 Road, about a mile south of Ellinwood, at 3:39 p.m.

The sheriff’s office assisted Great Bend Police Department with traffic control following an accident at 24th and Washington St.

A burglary at Mo’s Place Grill & Brew Pub, 1908 Elm St. in Beaver, occurred sometime Tuesday night, it was reported Wednesday morning.

Aug. 2 reports

A known person allegedly stole lottery tickets from 2337 Washington St. He was served a notice to appear in municipal court.

A vehicle driven by Brent Leuenberger was westbound on 10th St. at 1:58 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by John Clayton, who was also westbound.

Several ID’s that had been turned in to the lost and found at the Dillon’s store at 1811 Main were turned over of the GBPD, and all ID’s were returned to the owners.

A three-vehicle accident occurred at 2:25 p.m. at 24th and Washington. See Wednesday’s Great Bend Tribune for more information.

At 3:02 p.m., someone in the 1400 block of 11th St. reported hearing a gunshot in the area. Police did not find anything.

A 2003 Ford F-350 was reported stolen from 1440 21st St.

Someone in the 2500 block of 16th St. called the police at 12:30 a.m. to report fireworks had been going off in the alley behind her house for about half an hour. Nothing was found.
