Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle burglary at 123 First St. in Olmitz was reported Saturday.

A motorist turned out of Pizza Hut on K-4 in Hoisington at 3 p.m. Sunday and struck another vehicle.

Deputies assisted the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicular pursuit into Barton County at 9:15 p.m. Sunday. The driver bailed out of the vehicle in the 600 block of Bismark St. in Pawnee Rock and was not found, even after a K-9 search.

A vehicle driven by Roy Dandy hit a deer on NE 20 Road and SE 60 Ave. at 6:04 a.m. Monday. He was cited for an expired driver’s license.

 

Great Bend Police

Theft of a stereo from a vehicle at 1019 Holland St. was reported Friday.

Checks were stolen from a residence at 408 Buckeye.

A 20-ton log splitter was stolen from the yard at 2606 21st St.

A gas skip involving a gray Chevy pickup at 3620 10th St. was reported at 3:16 p.m. Friday.

A southbound vehicle driven by Martin Bieker reportedly made an improper lane change on Kansas Ave. at 5:23 p.m. Friday, causing a vehicle driven by Kaylyn Zager to strike a fire hydrant at 23rd St.

Someone broke the back window on a truck at 301 Almond St.

A vehicle driven by Billy Jean Lohr was northbound on Grant, slowing in traffic at 10th St., at 7:50 p.m. Friday and was struck by a vehicle driven by Edgar Sanchez-Carrasco.

A check forgery at 1908 12th St. was reported Saturday.

Someone caused $200 damage to a window at 2523 Forest Ave.

A tire was slashed at 2409 24th St. Loss was $100.

Someone intentionally drove over Christmas decorations at 1029 Grant St., it was reported Sunday.

A fake $100 bill was passed at 3503 10th St.

Two tires were slashed at 2401 31st St. Loss was $250.

Tools were stolen from a residence at 1912 Adams St. Loss was $700.

A vehicle driven by Aaron Maier backed into a parked vehicle in the 2100 block of 27th St. at 11 p.m. Sunday.

A $73.98 gas skip by a motorist in a black Dodge truck was reported at 11:43 p.m. Sunday at Love’s Country Store, 1221 10th St.
