ELLINWOOD — Clara Lee Schlochtermeier, 75, died March 1 at Ellinwood District Hospital. Born July 29, 1936 in Ellinwood, she was the daughter of Pete Schlochtermeier and Susanna Caroline Debes Schlochtermeier. She was a graduate of Ellinwood High School. A long-time resident of Ellinwood, formerly of Larned and Kinsley, she was a Nurses Aide at St. Rose Hospital in Great Bend.

Ms. Schlochtermeier was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellinwood.

Survivors include two brothers, Edward J. Schlochtermeier and Paul G. Schlochtermeier, both of Ellinwood; and nephews.

Altar Society Rosary will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday followed by a Parish Vigil at 7 p.m., both at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellinwood with Father Charles Mazouch officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood. Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. on Monday. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph’s School Endowment or Living Legacy Fund or Ellinwood Hospital Auxiliary.
