COLBY — Larned's Gavin Collins (82) tied for fourth place at Monday's Colby 3A golf substate to qualify for the state tournament.
Collins birdied No 4 in 53-degree weather with northerly winds from 10 to 20 mph.
Larned counted scores by 29th-place Brennon Stahlecker (94), 45th-place Calvin Keith (101) and 52nd-place Caycen Auble (106), who celebrated with a birdie at No. 18.
Russell's medalist Jake Mooney (80) birdied two holes to earn medalist honors. Goodland (345) win the substate title.
